Robot Evolution and Senior Home Care

Below is a video clip on Boston Dynamics robot evolution. It has gone a long way in the last 2 decades. However, the three robots they have today, Atlas, Spot, Handle, are not quite useful for household or senior home care from utility and price perspectives.

On utility, the high profile multi-task household robot should be able to listen to, comprehand, and carry out automatically the senior voice commands, such as “robot-name, get a cup of orange juice from the refrigerator and bring it to the livingroom table”.

On pricing, the high profile multi-task household robot that can perform a basic set of functions (e,g., open/close door, recognize, deliver, and pickup/drop-off objects, from one place to another, converse and interact, etc.) should be under $6,000.
